Patronage
and Partnership |
The Jacob Group, via its subsidiaries,
is always close to its customers.
Patronage and partnership in the Jacob
Group follow the same path: to be close to and willing
to help projects which enable mankind move forward. Culture
is a fundamental part of life and contributes to the development
of our society.
That is why the Jacob Group has decided
to support a local cultural event every year considering
that:
- It is an ideal way of communicating
differently: externally with regard to our customers,
partners or even the public and internally with regard
to the Group’s staff.
- It is a way of asserting our values
and of putting our skills to the general good.
- It is also a way of supporting local
cultural development and so participating in making
our local area attractive.
In
2007, the Jacob Group has decided to partner
the 3rd International Ecological Film Festival
taking place from 4th to 7th October in Bourges.
The
goal of this festival is well marked out - bringing the
population towards ecology and heightening public awareness
via films, It is also in line with the strategy of the
Jacob Group which is to favour any action which will help
sustainable development and make the protection of our
planet a national and an international priority...
The cultural agency in Bourges is organising
this International Ecological Film Festival to reward
the best films, to encourage thought about sharing fairly
and to spread these ideas to everyone concerned by the
future of man and planet Earth.
In
2006 (and 2007) the Jacob Group had already supported
a major cultural event: The Festival of Words which takes
place every year in the City of Books – La Charite
sur Loire (www.ville-du-livre.info)
The
Festival of Words was started in 2005 and is led by the
association Mots-et-Mots. In a strong position after the
first two events which were unanimously applauded by the
media, this third event remained true to its origins:
neither a book fair, nor a reading race, nor an assembly
of authors but rather a place to think more about the
magic and the power of all books regardless of the author.
